Digital Command Center 0.8.1 - Development Release

NEW IN 0.8.1
- Private Tailscale HTTPS settings: status, enable/disable, address and copy link.
- Restricted loopback gateway checks the station owner's Tailscale identity.
- Remote monitoring and optional frequency/mode receive control; TX locked.
- Single-browser receive lease, renewal, expiry and local station priority.
- Credentials, updates, hardware setup and backups remain local.
- Saved private access resumes when the same Tailscale setup is available.
- Headless --server option and connection diagnostics export without credentials.
- Second-device private HTTPS testing and physical IC-705 testing remain pending.

NEW IN 0.8.0
- Development Release branding and accurate settings capability descriptions.
- Offline radio mode controls disabled; failed mode changes restore the last value.
- Disconnected CAT requests are serialized with a short reconnect backoff.
- Packaged Windows update checks use native Windows HTTPS certificate validation.
- Saved operators, station backup/import/export, QRZ credentials and Field Day logging.

LIMITS
- Receive-only: transmit and tune remain locked. Physical IC-705 USB testing is pending.
- LoTW, N3FJP, GOTA and satellite contest automation are not implemented.
- Field Day bonus claims and final submission require operator review.
- Unsigned portable package. External Hamlib and decoder apps are separate installs.

NEW IN 0.7.6
- QRZ user selection by saved callsign, linked to the current station profile.
- Persistent green Accepted / Saved badge, with last successful validation time.
- Explicit Save QRZ settings button enabled after successful key validation.
- Windows DPAPI encryption stores keys outside the station database/settings backups.
- Saved key, user selection and acceptance reload after closing/reopening DCC.
- Keys remain isolated by station profile, station callsign and selected user.
- Changing a key invalidates its in-memory acceptance until checked again.
- Forget removes the selected saved credential. A later QRZ rejection clears acceptance.
- QRZ upload previews now include only contacts for the current station callsign.
- Unsaved key edits do not overwrite the previous saved credential.

INCLUDED FEATURES
- Station profiles and saved operators with explicit activation and validation.
- Settings JSON export, import preview/confirmation, automatic pre-import backup.
- Local ADIF contact import/export; settings JSON does not contain contact logs.
- Windows USB CAT and receive audio selection; managed local Hamlib lifecycle.
- FT8/FT4/WSPR through WSJT-X; JS8Call and fldigi bridges with separate apps.
- QRZ Logbook explicit upload preview, saved encrypted station/user API keys,
persistent accepted status, and uncertain-upload handling.
- ARRL Field Day 2026 entry settings, practice mode, manual contacts, edit/delete,
band/mode-category duplicate checks, scoring, ADIF/CSV/score-sheet exports.
- Local profiles/logs remain stored separately from the extracted application.

VALIDATION AND REMAINING WORK
Backend tests and browser workflows cover profiles, operators, import/export,
QRZ scope/credentials, Field Day logging, update checks and simulated Hamlib.
Packaged Windows startup and native HTTPS update access have been checked.
Physical IC-705 USB CAT/audio and real on-air decoding still require bench tests.
No contact was uploaded during release QA. QRZ uploads require applicable QRZ
access and explicit user action. Last accepted status records a past check;
subscriptions or API access can change later.
LoTW/TQSL, N3FJP, hardware transmit/tune, GOTA and satellite automation remain
unavailable. Award progress automation and Cabrillo submission are unfinished.
Field Day uses the 2026 rules baseline; review bonuses and final submission.
This is a Development Release, not a claim of completed production validation.
The portable package is unsigned. Keep regular backups of your station data.
